Marinated Olives

In eastern Mediterranean countries, it is customary that cocktail drinks are always served with small mezze. Olives are popular pairing during Sunny Mediterranean afternoons with a glass of favorite wine or cocktail. Marinating olives is incredibly easy and joyful to serve.

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb Kalamata olives
  • 4 tbsp dried oregano
  • 1 tbsp dried rosemary
  • 1 tbsp dried cumin seeds
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 3 strips of orange zest (1/4 inch wide, 2 inches long)

Instructions:

  1. Rinse the olives and pat them dry with a paper towel.
  2. In a bowl, combine the olives with dried oregano, rosemary, cumin seeds, olive oil, and orange zest.
  3. Mix well to ensure the olives are coated with the marinade.
  4. Serve and enjoy!
