Crunchy Shrimp

“Next time you serve hummus, forget the crackers — forget the skewers! We’re going FULL crunchy drama with shrimp wrapped in kataifi, fried to golden perfection, dipped straight into that creamy hummus. No eggs. No fuss. Just wet hands and kataifi magic.”

Ingredients:

• Fresh shrimp, peeled and deveined
• Kataifi pastry (shredded phyllo dough)
• Oil for frying
• Salt & pepper to taste
• Your favorite creamy hummus (store-bought or homemade)

Steps:

1. Prep shrimp: Season shrimp lightly with salt and pepper.
2. Wrap: Using wet hands (no eggs, no glue), gently wrap each shrimp tightly in kataifi strands to form a stick shape. The moisture in your hands is enough to make the kataifi stick together!
3. Fry: Heat olive oil in a pan. Fry kataifi-wrapped shrimp sticks until golden and crispy (about 2-3 minutes per side).
4. Serve: Plate your crispy shrimp sticks alongside a big bowl of creamy hummus.
