The most comforting recipe of my childhood.

Ingredients
- 1 cup long-grain rice
- 1/3 cup vermicelli noodles, broken into small pieces
- 6 tsp butter
- 2 cups boiling water
- Salt to taste
Directions
Step 1. In a heavy pan, melt butter. Add vermicelli and a pinch of salt, stirring constantly until golden brown.
Step 2. Add rice, stir to coat, then pour in boiling water.Step 3. Cover, reduce heat, and cook until rice is fluffy and tender. Rest 5 minutes before serving.
